To start use of the forum for 2019, this is the message that was sent by email on 3 June:

We are much looking forward to the Ischia Summer School, which will start in just three weeks (now 12 days)! Here is some information:

1. A detailed programme is available here < ischiasummerschool.org/theme#timetable >.

2. We have taken the liberty of allocating student presenters to seminar groups, so that students and faculty can start working together to plan these sessions. Your seminar group is on the programme. Just above that you will find advice on how to prepare for the seminars. It is particularly important to plan in advance if your seminar is on the first day or two.

3. In addition to preparing your own seminar, please remember to do the reading for the others. The readings are downloadable from a link you can see at the top right of the webpage when you're logged in to the forum. We'll expect everyone to have done the reading in advance of each seminar!

4. You should have received an email from Michel Durinx with your login details for the forum. If you can't find it, please check your spam folder; and if you still can’t find it, contact <administrator@ischiasummerschool.org>. Subscribe to the topics on the discussion forum (and check your spam folder) to receive emails notifying you of new postings, or visit the forum regularly. This can be used to introduce yourselves and to share information or questions in the run-up to the school. (My own top tip: bring swimming stuff.) You’ve probably already discovered the invaluable travel advice < ischiasummerschool.org/travel-info >.

Feel free to contact us should you have any questions––in the first instance, Christiane for local arrangements, Michel for website issues and me for programme matters.

We look forward to our time together on the beautiful island of Ischia.

Best wishes, also from Christiane, Janet and Staffan

Nick
